Back on old hunting ground - Handmade Expo Ipswich

Saturday saw Vintage Visions return to the Handmade Expo. We had a great day and it was great to see the regulars and great to see some new artists as well. I had a quick wonder around and purchased some great gifts and of course my favourite soaps from Robbie Baker at Wundanook Creations. A girls gotta to have a little lush in her life.

Though I was a little envious of Kath from Peg and Kate enjoying her afternoon at the markets, free from her stall. Kath hoping you had a wonderful afternoon full of goodies.

The Vintage Visions range will be now available through the Handmade Heaven store. So pop down and have a look at the wonderful range that Leisa has sourced. A wonderful step for handmadies and for Ipswich!

The Boutique Markets - Hamilton

Sunday the 14th June saw Vintage Visions debut at the new Boutique Markets, Hamilton.
The day was great fun and the weather was stunning. I was lucky enough to have a walk (hobble) around and see all the wonderful talents at the Markets and catch up with some old friends as well.

A big thank you to my helpers Kaitlyn and Lara for there assistance on the day, I couldn't have had such a successful day without them. There setup and carried stock to and from the car, a lot quicker than I was able to on the day.

For Vintage Visions is was a fantastic day, meeting many great people, full of love for hand made items and very appreciative of the work that all artisans put into their pieces.

I am really looking forward to the next market day in July, I hear that it will also involve a little chocolate!
Hope to see you all there. Sunday 12 July.

Heritage Fair Woodlands Marburg

What a beautiful day we had on Sunday at Woodlands, for the Handmade Expo. This market saw the launch of the new Vintage Visions silver range. Some pictures below to preview the new items.

All created from Vintage Silver. Yes, silver teaspoons and serviette rings. Including the quirky collectors type. Also this market saw the introduction of a new upcycled textile range be added to the Vintage Visions family. A range of new scarves made from vintage woollen blankets and retro curtain fabric. Both items proved to be a great success.

Something old is new again

As some of you may know I have been learning and experimenting using old epsn silver and metals, to create new jewellery pieces. I hope to have some new pieces ready for our next market event on Sunday 17 May.

The piece photographed (left) is a pewter cuff bangle created from an old 70s pewter trophy sourced in a second hand shop.
The piece had some beautiful engraved worked around the top that was screaming out to be recycled and celebrated again.

A cuff bange and matching earrings created from engraved pieces of trophy.
Below: the left over trophy, just waiting to be made into something new!!!
